ANYWHERE BUT HOME

Hi! This note is dedicated to you who wish you were anywhere but home. Are you tired of the typical phrase: “As far as you live here, you will follow my rules”?  Are you looking for some extra freedom?  You can’t stand your parents anymore? Are you one of those waiting for the first chance to leave home? If so, you really need to read this article.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.  Genesis 2:24

What does this verse have to do with it? God’s original plan is that you would leave your home until you get married. Only this way, you will honor your God and your parents. Maybe you have a thousand excuses to run away from home but let me tell you that GOD DOESN’T HONOR EXCUSES; HE HONORS OBEDIENCE. GOD DOESN’T REWARD EXCUSES; HE REWARDS OBEDIENCE. If you are wondering: If God loves me, why doesn’t he get me out of this difficult situation at home? Simple: God will not get you out of that without truly knowing him.

There are two verses that you can’t ignore:

1.       He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11

2.       But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

If you see these verses the other way around, you’ll understand my point:

1.       Nothing is beautiful out of time.

2.       If you do not wait on the Lord, but instead you get desperate, you will get weak, you will be weary and you will faint.

Is it clear now? Be patient, the time will come. By now, obey your parents and obey God, because obeying is better than choosing. Regards to you who decided to wait and stay at home.
